History (abridged) :

Magistrat of a great city of the Enchanted Forest. One day, during the Carnival, he saw the gypsy Esmeralda and nourrish for her a burning passion. After refusing several times his proposal, she finished by accepting it and marry him. Nine mouth later, Malcolm was born. Frollo can't believe that such an ugly child could be his, he suspected his wife to be unfaithful and investigate on that. He soon discovered that he was not the child's father. Enraged, he made her wife killed by fire on the public place. He made the child locked and rise him like that for several years, despide his hate for him. During this time, he persecuted the gipsies, who remind him his wife. When the child was old enough, he sold it to a foreigner blacksmith to never heard of him again. Years later, after Malcolm became Peter Pan, he came back with the Shadows of Neverland and made the whole city burned to the ground, to avenge his mother. Peter Pan took Frollo, now an old man, to Neverland and kept him prisonner in one of the many caves of Island.


Notes :
- This character was re-write, after Rumplestilskin's mother and past was introduced in the show.
- What happen to Frollo after Peter Pan's death is yet to decide.

During this time, he persecuted the gipsies, who remind him his wife. Frightened for the child safety, Djali, an old friend of Esmeralda, took him and run away. Years later, after Rumplestiltskin became the Dark One, he came back and made the whole city burned to the ground, to avenge his mother. Since then, Frollo is his prisoner, who he tortures regurlarly (Frollo doesn't get old thanks to Rumplestilskin magic). In Storybrooke, he is kept in one of the asyleum's cells.
