History (abridged) :

He is the third and last son of the Dragon King. Compared to other dragons, he is really tiny in his dragonic form so he never use that form often. When Sun Wukong was convinced for the death of Tuo Long, Mushu help him to escape. He was sentence to death by his own father but, thanks to his brother Mo'ang, he was instead permanently turned in his Dragon form and exiled from the island. Despite his short stature, he managed to get to Sun Wukong, who already met Xuanzang, Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujin and join the group. After the journey, and the "death" of his friend Sun Wukong, Xuanzang entrusted him the mission to watch over the Jade Stone, what made him known under the title of "Yulong" which mean Jade Dragon. Long time later, at the beginning of the war against Shen Yu and the Huns, the Jade Stone was stolen. He met then a young woman, Mulan, and train her to became a Warrior. Together, they join the war, Mulan to save her Father, Mushu to retrieve the Stone. After the war, the Stone was nowhere to be found and Mushu went to the World without Magic to retrieve the Stone. There, because of its weak Magic, Mushu is turned back into a human being. He then help several people looking for Magic answers to their problems, such as Carlos de Vil, August or Tamara. In New York, he took a orphan apprentice to whom he gave the nickname Cree Kee. He then was trap behind the Mirrors by the Evil Queen and brought to Storybrooke. Free by the Savior, he is reunited with his apprentice et both remains in town.


Notes :
- "The Dragon" is the same character than the one who appeared on the show (S2E18, S5E23, S6E08)
- His adventures alongside Mulan is the fusion of Mushu's and Li Shang in the Disney's movie.
- His dragon form is bigger in the show thanks to the Evil Queen's Magic.
- It is unknown if Mushu managed to retrieve the stone or not in the World without Magic, but we can suppose he did.
