After the death of the tyran Dong Zhuo, the East Empire get fregmented into three regions, which will later become indepentent after Cao Pei self coronation. The three countries will some time after collapse into themself, and will be reunited into the great East Empire after Huanzang's coronation.


Kingdom of Cao Wei

During the reign of Dong Zhuo, Cao Cao, a powerful warlord without title and territory, manage to gather a large army, planing to remove the tyran. His plan failed with the latter being killed by Lu Bu. Then, Cao Cao use his army to "protect" the Empereur and manage to secure a large territory in the North of the Empire. With the young Emperor in his possession, Cao Cao act as his regent, and therefore, as the Emperor. His power was contested by Liu Bei, and Sun Quan. However, his region remains strong. He died a few years later and was succeded by his son Cao Pei. The ambitious young man forced the Emperor to abdicate to his favor. Crown Emperor, the two other region do cessession, leaving Cao Pei with the Kingdom of Cao Wei. But, by his actions, Cao Pei was not popular and even his own government was torned appart. When Huanzang came back from his journey, he managed to convinced him to give his crown back to the Emperor Xian. Reluctantly, but fearing for his life after escaping to several murder attempt, he accepted and left the country.


Kingdom of Shu Han

Liu Bei is a member of the Imperial Family, the brother of the late Emperor Ling, and therefore, has the title "Imperial Uncle". After the Empress Yuanchun, he was supposed to be the regent, but that changed with the coup d'état. After the death of the Tyran, he claimed his position, but Cao Cao already had the young Emperor in his possession and refused it. Support by others nobles, including his oathbrothers Guan Yu and Zhang Fei, Liu Bei found his own government. This his alliance of nobles, he keep the South-West of the Country to fell under Cao Cao's influence. With a temporary alliance with the Sun Quan, the Duke of Wu, they repel Cao's invasion force. With the alliance, he married Lady Sun, the sister of Sun Quan. Even then, the alliance didn't last long. During his war against his rivals, he lost his two companions. After Cao Pei crown himself Emperor, Liu Bei claimed the throne, since he is the next to line, after Emperor Xian, and declare himself King of Shu Han, with Hanzhong as capital. But, without his friends, he was proven quite an incompetent ruler and lost most of his territory to his rivals. After Emperor Xian was restaured to his throne, he vows allegiance to him, and after, to his successor Huanzang.


Great Dukedom of Eastern Wu

Sun Jian was the most powerful noble during the reign of the Emperor Ling. His Dukedom covered a large part of the East of the Empire. He allied himself to Dong Zhuo during his coup. After the death of the Tyran, he expected to be the next to take the regency, but his plan changed with the army of Cao Cao at the door of the capital. He was killed by the man for his participation at the coup. He was then succeed by his son Sun Ce. He died soon after in a battle against Cao Cao who want to controle the Dukedom of Wu. His younger brother Sun Quan became duke et managed to repeal the invasion (the rumour said that Lu Bu helped him). Sun Quan refused to answer to neigther Cao Cao nor Liu Bei, and form a third independant region, name the Great Dukedom of Eastern Wu. In his attempt to get rid of Cao Cao, he make a short alliance with Liu Bei, marriing his sister to him. Cao Cao was repealed, but not vainquished. After Cao Pei and Liu Bei declare themself Emperors, the Dukedom quit the Empire and became an independant nation. Sun Quan died shortly after, and his dukedom shattered between his sons, sons in law and vassals. The different parts of the dukedom will later be attached to the Empire during Huanzang's reign.
