History (abridged) :

Vibhishana is a Rakshasa, a demonic creature living in the East Empire. Unlike the other of his kins, who are fearsome warriors, he is quiet, polite and very pious. When Jade Face was looking for storm troopers for the Coup, she went to recruit the Rakshasas. Vibhishana almost managed to convince his kins to not take part to a war that didn't belong to them. Fearing to loose powerful soldiers, Jade Face managed to move him apart, by cursing him. She stuck the Kris Mpu Gandring, a cursed blade, in his back, turning him into a bloodthirsty creature. Roaming in around an Oasis, he killed everyone who came by. He fight against Sun Wukong when he, Zhu Bajie and Xuanzang crossed the desert. The curse was lift by Xuanzang. Free, Vibhishana made the vow to serve the young man. He was given the name of Sha Wujin and became the most obedient and dependable ally to Xuanzang. He still served him when he became Emperor and rarely leave his side, even nowaday. Some time after the journey, he marry Hua Xiren, a servant of the Jia family, close to Xuanzang during his childhood.
